Joachim Drees
Joachim Drees (born November 20, 1964 in Düsseldorf ) is a German manager and has been CEO of MAN SE since October 1, 2015 .
Life
Joachim Drees is the son of Gerhard and Jutta Drees. He studied business administration at the University of Stuttgart and at Portland State University , where he obtained a Master of Business Administration . He started at Price Waterhouse in 1991 as a management consultant in the area of controlling and optimization of business processes. From 1996 he was employed at Daimler-Benz AG (from 1998 DaimlerChrysler ) in various management positions. In 2006 he moved to the London-based private equity company HgCapital, where he was responsible for portfolio management.
On September 1, 2012, he became a board member at Drees & Sommer AG, which his father had founded, and was responsible for finance, organization, administration, mergers & acquisitions and human resources until he became CEO of MAN Truck & Bus on April 1, 2015 AG was appointed. On October 1, 2015, he was also appointed CEO of MAN SE, succeeding Georg Pachta-Reyhofen, who had resigned, in this position .
