Georg Rückert (politician)
Georg Rückert (born November 8, 1901 in Spachbrücken ; † September 12, 1990 ) was a German administrative lawyer and local politician (SPD).
Career
After high school and a bank apprenticeship, Rückert studied law and did his doctorate at the University of Frankfurt am Main .
From 1927 to 1931 he worked for the city administration in Darmstadt. In 1931 he became mayor of Ober-Ingelheim . On April 7, 1933, he was deposed by the National Socialists and in the following years worked as a bank clerk in Leipzig.
After the end of the Second World War, he returned to his office as Mayor of Ingelheim . From February 15, 1947 until he retired in 1966, he was the successor to Edmund Kaufmann (1946–1947) as District President of Rheinhessen .
