Georg Raddäus
Georg Raddäus (* 1649 in Königsberg i. Pr. , † 1707 ibid.) Was a German cantor and Kapellmeister in Königsberg.
Life
Raddäus was cantor of the Tragheimer church . At the court of the Duke of Prussia , in 1694 he took over the office of court conductor from Johann J. Witte. In 1701 he took care of the musical arrangement of the royal coronation of Friedrich I (Prussia) . On a copper engraving from 1712, the entire musical apparatus is recorded during the anointing in the castle church (Königsberg) . After his death Raddäus was buried “with great music” in the Tragheim church.
Georg Riedel was one of Raddäus' students .
