Georg Rauschning

Philipp Ludwig Georg Rauschning (born January 14, 1876 in Taukitten , Fischhausen district , † June 2, 1956 in Hamburg ) was a Prussian administrative lawyer .

Life

Born as the son of the East Prussian landowner Ludwig Rauschning, he studied law in Königsberg . During his studies he became a member of the Germania Königsberg fraternity in the summer semester of 1893 .

From 1908 to 1919 he served as district administrator in the Czarnikau district of the Poznan province . In 1915 he was appointed as a district administrator in the Filehne district . He then moved to the financial administration of the province of East Prussia , where he started building the state tax office in Königsberg i. Pr. Was entrusted. From 1923 on he worked at the Lower Elbe State Tax Office in Hamburg.

After the Second World War, Rauschning was Chief Financial Officer of the Hanseatic City of Hamburg.
