Georg Reichelt

Georg Reichelt (born November 10, 1919 in Breslau ; † February 21, 2014 in Bremen ) was a German professional officer and politician ( SPD ). He was a member of the Bremen citizenship .

biography

education and profession

Reichelt was one of the first professional officers in the Bundeswehr . He last assumed the rank of lieutenant colonel . In 1962 he was transferred to Bremen. From 1973 to 1984 he was managing director of Brepark GmbH in Bremen.

politics

Reichelt had been a member of the SPD since 1946. In the Bremen SPD he was active in the Hastedt local club . From 1967 to 1979 he was a member of the Bremen citizenship for the SPD for 12 years and was active in various deputations and committees of the citizenship. His main focus was the deputations for internal affairs, sports and finance. As spokesman for the sports deputation, he played a key role in drafting the first law to promote sports in Bremen . He campaigned for popular sports in the State Sports Association of Bremen (LSB).
