Georg Schuster (born May 6, 1977 in Vienna ) is an Austrian politician of the Freedom Party of Austria (FPÖ). From November 9, 2017, he was a member of the Austrian Federal Council delegated by the Vienna State Parliament . Since March 2019 he has been a member of the Vienna State Parliament and a member of the Vienna City Council .

Life

Georg Schuster attended elementary school, secondary high school and sports secondary school in Vienna from 1993 to 1996 at the technical school for business professions in Vienna and then until 1997 an advanced course for tourism in Vienna. He then worked for an import / export company and in 1998/99 as a freelancer. Since 1999 he has been working for Unicredit Business Integrated Solutions Austria GmbH .

Georg Schuster was a member of the FPÖ Wien-Landstrasse from 1996 to 2000 , and has been a member of the district party leadership of the FPÖ in Vienna-Wieden since 2000 . Since 2004 he has also been a member of the state party leadership of the FPÖ Vienna and since 2013 of the federal party leadership of the FPÖ. From 2005 to 2017 he was a district councilor in Vienna-Wieden, a member of the local council , from 2005 to 2010 he was also deputy club chairman and from 2010 to 2017 club chairman of the Freedom District Council. Since 2006 he has also been the deputy district party chairman of the FPÖ Vienna-Wieden.

In November 2017 he was sent by the Vienna State Parliament to the Austrian Federal Council. He succeeded Hans-Jörg Jenewein , who moved to the National Council .

At the end of March 2019, he replaced Ulrike Nittmann in the 20th electoral term as a member of the Vienna State Parliament and member of the Vienna City Council . Bernd Saurer took over his Federal Council mandate .
