Georg Thielmann

Georg Thielmann (born November 14, 1930 ; † October 5, 2012 in Berlin ) was a German law scholar and university professor.

Life

Georg Thielmann received his doctorate from the Free University of Berlin in 1961 with a legal history dissertation . Ten years later he completed his habilitation on a civil law topic. In 1972 he took over a chair at the Free University and taught until his retirement in 1996 as a professor for Roman and civil law.
