Georg Wollner

Georg Wollner (born December 15, 1903 in Asch , † July 24, 1948 in Marburg an der Lahn ) was a Sudeten German politician ( NSDAP ).

Life

Wollner attended the primary and secondary school in Asch from 1910 to 1918. Then he did an apprenticeship as a locksmith until 1921 and then worked in Germany due to the poor conditions. In 1924 he returned home and started his own business as a locksmith. From 1925 he worked again as an employee in a large textile factory, where he worked as a locksmith and machinist until June 1934. He was a member of the Asch gymnastics club. From 1932 to October 1933 he was a member of the DNSAP and in November 1933 he joined the Sudeten German Home Front (SHF). In June 1934 he was accepted into the full-time service of the SHF.

Wollner was then district leader and from 1935 to 1938 district leader of the now renamed Sudeten German Party (SdP) in Eger . For the SdP he became a member of the Czech House of Representatives in 1935 and was a member of it until 1938. In May 1938 he fled to Germany. In November 1938 he was entrusted with building up the NSDAP in the Karlsbad district and appointed provisional district leader. From December 1938 until the end of National Socialism he represented the Sudetenland in the National Socialist Reichstag . On January 30, 1939 he joined the SS with the rank of SS-Hauptsturmführer and from 1939 to 1941 he was Gauinspector of the Gau leadership of the Sudetenland. In February 1939 he applied for membership in the NSDAP, which was then approved. His entry into the party was dated November 1, 1938. From May to June 1940, Wollner was briefly deployed to the war on the Western Front . In April 1941 he became district leader of the NSDAP in Pilsen and remained so until the end of the war. In January 1942 he was again in action for a short time on the Eastern Front . From 1943 to 1945 he was still employed by the district administration of the Sudetenland district.
