Georg Zwilling

Georg Zwilling (in official documents in the Grand Duchy of Hesse Georg Zwilling I ) (born September 21, 1892 in Mörfelden ; † November 5, 1944 in Stadtlohn ) was a Hessian politician ( KPD Hessen ) and former member of the Landtag of the People's State of Hesse in the Weimar region Republic .

Family and education

Georg Zwilling was the son of the manual laborer Jakob II. Zwilling and his wife Margarethe nee Schulmeyer. He was married to Margarethe born Schulmeyer.

Georg Zwilling was a bricklayer by profession.

politics

Georg Zwilling was a member of the USPD and later the KPD since 1919 . On November 8, 1931, he was elected mayor of Walldorf in the runoff election. In 1932 he was removed from this office. From 1932 to 1933 he was a member of the state parliament. After the seizure of power by the Nazis, he was briefly in " protective custody taken".

In 1944 he was killed in an air raid.
