The 2008 Family Circle Cup was a clay court tennis tournament for women in Charleston . It was part of the 2008 WTA Tour as a Tier I category tournament . The tournament took place from April 14th to 20th, 2008.

The singles final was played by Serena Williams and Wera Swonarjowa , which Williams won in three sets. In doubles, the pairing Katarina Srebotnik and Ai Sugiyama won in straight sets against Edina Gallovits and Wolha Hawarzowa .
