George Adam Horrer

George Adam Horrer (born May 11, 1754 in Weißenborn , † May 9, 1822 in Weissensee ) was a German Lutheran theologian and hymn poet . He was a pastor in Zeuchfeld , after which he was appointed pastor and superintendent in Weissensee, where he died at the age of 67. He wrote some pedagogical writings, but also composed sacred songs, with which he made a name for himself. He also revised and translated songs related to the Old Testament .
