Jakob Halder
Jakob Halder (born May 5, 1923 in Navis ; † December 17, 1995 in Innsbruck ) was an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and chamber director. From 1962 to 1979 he was a member of the National Council .
Halder attended grammar school after elementary school and graduated in 1942. He studied at the University of Innsbruck and received his doctorate in 1949. He then became the official secretary of the Tyrolean Chamber of Agriculture and, in 1961, deputy chamber director. In 1971 he was promoted to chamber office director. He was also awarded the title of Chief Agriculture Councilor.
From 1964 Halder was district chairman of the ÖVP Innsbruck-Land and in 1972 took over the chairmanship of the prison commission for Tyrol. He represented the ÖVP between December 14, 1962 and June 4, 1979 in the National Council.
