George Alaba

George Alaba (* 1960 or 1961 in Nigeria ) is an Austrian musician.

Life

Alaba began studying in Vienna in 1984. After learning German for a few semesters , his interest in economics brought him to the Vienna University of Economics and Business . However, he later broke off his business studies to work on his career as a musician. He first worked as a DJ in front of an international audience in the African Club . His first CD was not a success. He was granted Austrian citizenship in the mid-1990s. This led to his being drafted into the Austrian Armed Forces , in which he served as the first dark-skinned guard soldier, which attracted great media attention. In 1988 he met the nurse Gina from the Philippines and married her in 1996. Together they are the parents of Rose May Alaba , who won a place in the “ Popstars Girlgroup BFF ” through the casting show “Popstars Mission Austria” on the channel Puls 4 also works as a model, and the soccer player David Alaba .

Musically, he found his partner Petra Suk in 1997, with whom he performed as the duo Two in One . Her breakthrough came with the “Indian Song”, which landed at number 2 in the Austrian charts. After seven years of working together, a legal battle over the band name, which would have been beyond their financial resources, ended their career. Alaba turned back to his job as a DJ, this time in the "Gogobar Beverly Hills" in downtown Vienna. He gave up this job in favor of his children, whom he now supports in their careers.
