George Buckup

George Buckup (* 1864 in Altona ; † November 11, 1921 in Hamburg ) was a Hamburg landscape, marine, interior and genre painter.

Buckup studied at the Berlin Art Academy and the Académie Julian in Paris and continued his studies in the master studios of Heinrich Vogel and Anton von Werner . He had been running a student studio in Hamburg since 1900. Buckup was a founding member of the Altona Artists 'Association and a member of the Hamburg Artists' Association from 1832 .

His works are u. a. in the collections of the Altona Museum in Hamburg.
