George Ernst von der Goltz

George Ernst von der Goltz (* December 30, 1705 ; † June 3, 1755 ) was a Prussian district administrator in Neumark . From 1744 until his death he was in charge of the Dramburg district .

A native of the uradligen family von der Goltz . His father Franz Ernst von der Goltz (* 1679; † 1739) was the heir to Klein Mellen , half of Köntopp and other estates. His mother Clara Sabine Tugendreich († 1716) was born from Winterfeld . Colonel Magnus Ernst von der Goltz († 1684) was his grandfather.

From 1724 he studied at the University of Frankfurt (Oder) .

In 1744 he was appointed as the successor to Georg Albrecht von Birckholtz to the district administrator of the Dramburg district and later also became director of the district. The district then belonged to Neumark . He held office until his death in 1755; George Friedrich von Rohwedel followed him in office .

George Ernst von der Goltz was married three times. From his third marriage in 1736 with Juliane Philippine (* 1714, † 1792), born von Blanckensee , five sons emerged, all of whom became officers in the Prussian army.
