George Heinrich Embden

George Heinrich Embden (born September 22, 1839 in Hamburg ; † July 13, 1907 there ) was a Hamburg attorney, lawyer and politician.

Life

Embden studied law in Heidelberg, Berlin and Göttingen and obtained a doctorate in Göttingen in 1862 . On June 16, 1862 Embden was in Hamburg as a lawyer admitted he was until his death inscribed as such. Embden was the first secretary of the Chamber of Commerce until 1877, in 1878 he founded a partnership with Gerhard Hachmann , in which Carl August Schröder began to work on October 1, 1878 . On January 1, 1881, Schröder became a partner in the Ders partnership . Hachmann & Embden added.

From 1871 to 1880 Embden belonged to the Hamburg citizenship , he was a member of the parliamentary group of the Left Center .

family

Embden was the son of Bartold Embden and married to Elisabeth Charlotte Embden, nee Dehn. His sons were the physicians Gustav Embden and Heinrich Embden (doctorate in Freiburg in 1893).
