George M. Fuller
George M. Fuller is an American physicist working in the field of theoretical astrophysics , particularly nuclear astrophysics .
Fuller received his BS in 1976 and PhD in Physics from the California Institute of Technology in 1981 . He then became a Robert R. McCormick Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Chicago until 1983 and then a Visiting Assistant Research Astrophysicist at the Lick Observatory until 1984 . From 1985 to 1986 Fuller was research assistant professor at the Institute for Nuclear Theory of the University of Washington and a staff member (ISPP) at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory to 1988 at the University of California as an Associate Professor and in 1992 Full Professor at the Department of Physics to be .

- 2013: Hans A. Bethe Prize for outstanding contributions to nuclear astrophysics, especially his work on the nuclear reaction rates of processes of weak interaction for star development and star collapse and his pioneering work on neutrino mixing in supernovae (laudation)
