The George Rock is a cliff off the George V coast in the Australian Antarctic Territory . It belongs to the Mackellar Islands off Cape Denison in the Commonwealth Bay and is located immediately east of The Devil Rock .
Participants of the Australasian Antarctic Expedition (1911-1914) under the direction of the Australian polar explorer Douglas Mawson discovered him. It is named after one of the sled dogs on the research trip. Its namesake, in turn, is the English King George V (1865–1936).
