George Thomas Napier

Sir George Thomas Napier (born June 30, 1784 , † September 15, 1855 in Geneva ) was a British lieutenant general .

Napier was adjutant of General Moore at the retreat to Corunna . Napier was governor of the Cape Colony between 1837 and 1844 .

In 1838 he was knighted as Knight Commander of the Order of the Bath .

George Thomas Napier was the son of Colonel George Napier and the brother of Charles James Napier .
