George Weightman-Smith
George Weightman-Smith ( George Collinson Weightman-Smith; born October 31, 1905 in Durban , † April 1972 ) was a South African hurdler , javelin thrower and decathlete .
At the Olympic Games in 1928 he was fifth over 110 m hurdles in 15.0 s, after he had set a world record in the semifinals with 14.6 s (winner was his compatriot Sidney Atkinson in 14.8 s). In the javelin throw he came in 21st place, and in the decathlon he gave up after the fourth discipline.
