George Wilhelm Heinrich Calow

George Wilhelm Heinrich Calow († January 8, 1865 ) was a German judge and politician

Life

Calow he studied law and was judiciary in 1831 and district councilor in 1844. In 1845 he was judicial commissioner and notary at the Higher Regional Court of Stettin . In 1847 he became regional and city court director ( district justice council ) in Sorau and in 1850 district court director. During the constitutional conflict, he was transferred as a punishment by the disciplinary senate of the higher tribunal . He was a member of the General Management of the Upper Pomeranian Fire Society in Szczecin.

He represented conservative positions and was an opponent of the liberal MP Karl Ferdinand Rehfeld during the March Revolution and was given cat music by the revolutionaries for this . In 1850 he was a member of the Volkshaus of the Erfurt Union Parliament . From 1862 to 1865 he was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives .

He was awarded the Order of the Red Eagle, 4th class.
