George Dudley "Jack" Wilson (born January 17, 1918 in Spencer , † March 10, 1956 in Cleveland ) was an American boxer .

biography

George Wilson won the bantamweight silver medal at the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin . In his first round fight he defeated the Canadian Maurice Camyré . In the same year he fought his first professional fight on November 11th, 88 more followed. In 1941 he was ranked second in The Ring's rankings .
