Georgenschwimmbach is a church village and belongs to the market Frontenhausen in the Lower Bavarian district of Dingolfing-Landau . Until 1978 the place was part of the municipality of Rampoldstetten .

history
The castle stable of Lichtenegg Castle nearby points to the long history of settlement . The church of St. George was in the 14./15. Century built. Georgenschwimmbach was part of the municipality of Rampoldstetten, which was founded by the Bavarian municipal edict in 1818. On May 1, 1978, the previously independent community of Rampoldstetten with Georgenschwimmbach was incorporated into Frontenhausen.
