Nina Lee (cellist)
Nina Maria Lee is an American cellist.
Lee is a graduate of the Curtis Institute of Music and the Juilliard School . Her main teachers were Joel Krosnick , David Soyer and Anne Fagerburg-Jacob . She has taught at Princeton University and Columbia University , teaches graduate courses at the Yale School of Music and is a musician and teacher at the Yale Summer School of Music . As the successor to Michael Kannen , she became a member of the Brentano String Quartet in 1998 (with Mark Steinberg , Serena Canin and Misha Amory ). She has worked with musicians such as Felix Galimir , Jaime Laredo , David Soyer, Nobuko Imai , Isidore Cohen, and Mitsuko Uchida , and has participated in the Portland and El Paso chamber music festivals and several Helicon Foundation symposia.
