Georges Fournier
Georges Fournier ( November 21, 1881 - December 1, 1954 ) was a French astronomer .
He focused on observing the planet Mars . In 1909 he was credited with discovering clouds in the Martian atmosphere. During the observation campaign between 1924 and 1929, he was the only experienced observer who questioned the derived rotation period.
The crater Fournier on Mars was named after him.
