Georges Naccache

Georges Naccache (* 1902 in Egypt , † 1972 in Beirut ) was a Lebanese journalist and politician . In 1924 he founded the French- language daily L'Orient (now L'Orient-Le Jour ). For the leading article on the Lebanese national pact "Deux négations ne font pas une nation" ("Two negations do not make one state") in L'Orient on March 10, 1949, he was sentenced to three months in prison. L'Orient suspended him for six months.
