Kateryniwka ( Ukrainian Катеринівка ; Russian Катериновка Katerinowka ) is a village in the south of the Ukrainian Oblast Kharkiv with about 1100 inhabitants (2001).
The village, founded in 1845, is the administrative center of the eponymous, 74.36 km² district council in the south of Sakhnovshchyna district , to which the villages Berestowe ( Берестове , ⊙ ) with about 140 inhabitants, Oleksandriwka ( Олександрівка , ⊙ ) with about 90 inhabitants Piskuwate ( Піскувате , ⊙ ) with about 40 inhabitants and Chalturina ( Халтуріна , ⊙ ) with about 30 inhabitants.
The location situated at an altitude of 149 m in 4 km to the right bank of Oril , a 346 km long tributary of the Dnepr , 16 km south of the Rajonzentrum Sachnowschtschyna and about 130 km southwest of the Oblastzentrum Charkiw .
