Georges Omerth
Georges Omerth (* 19th or 20th century in Paris , France ; † 20th century) was a French sculptor .
Life
The dates of life of Omerth are not known in the literature. He was a student of the sculptor Albert-Ernest Carrier-Belleuse , was active as an artist from 1895 to 1925 and exhibited at the salons of the Société des Artistes Français in Paris.
Omerth made numerous figures and statuettes of children, women and men in the classical, Art Nouveau and Art Deco style , the majority for the Éditeur d'art (art publisher) and sculptor Edmond Etling . He used materials such as bronze, chryselephantine , ivory, zinc and biscuit china .
