Judith Miller (expert)

Judith Miller (born September 16, 1951 in Galashiels , Scotland ) is a British antiques expert , non-fiction author and television presenter .

Life

Miller studied history at Edinburgh University in the 1960s . At this time she started collecting antiques. Together with her first husband Martin Miller († 2013), she wrote the first edition of Miller's Antiques Price Guide in 1979 . A new edition has been added to the series every year for almost 20 years.

From 1997 to 2000, Miller co-hosted 23 episodes of The House Detectives on BBC Two . She worked as a reviewer and co-host on eight episodes of The Antiques Trail , which were shown on ITV . She also presented the program It's Your Bid on the Discovery Channel . Since 2015 she regularly as an expert in the Antiques Roadshow and the Priceless Antiques Roadshow of the BBC on.

Miller publishes regularly in newspapers and magazines such as the Financial Times , The Daily Telegraph , BBC Homes & Antiques, and House & Garden . She has given lectures at London's Victoria and Albert Museum and the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, DC

Judith Miller is married to John Wainwright. She has three children and lives in London.
