Georgi Georgie Christow ( Bulgarian Георги Христов , English transcription: Georgi Hristov; born January 10, 1985 in Plovdiv ) is a Bulgarian football player who has played for the Tampa Bay Rowdies since 2013 . His position is the storm.
Career
Christow began his career with Mariza Plovdiv . Between 2002 and 2007 he played a total of 110 league games for the club. After he was the top scorer of the B-Grupa in the 2006/07 season, he moved to Botew Plovdiv for the 2007/08 season . There he scored 19 goals in 30 games in the A Grupa and was Bulgaria's top scorer. In 2008 he moved to Levski Sofia , where he immediately became Bulgarian champion and Supercup winner.
After another autumn season in Sofia , Christow moved to Wisła Krakow on loan to Poland in January 2010 . There he was unable to assert himself and returned to Sofia in June 2010. Krakow originally wanted to borrow it by the end of the year.
On August 31, 2010 Christow moved to city rivals Slavia Sofia . In 2011 he was loaned to the Israeli club FC Ashdod. Then he moved to Lokomotiv Sofia in 2012.
On March 8, 2013, the Bulgarian signed a two-year contract with the US soccer franchise Tampa Bay Rowdies . With 12 goals in 22 games, he became the team's most successful goalscorer of the season in 2013.
