Georgina Claire Harland (born April 14, 1978 in Canterbury ) is a former British pentathlete .

Career

Georgina Harland was able to win several medals at world championships. In 2001 and 2002 , she finished third in the individual, before she won the title in 2004 with the team. In 2006 silver medals with the team and the relay were added. At the European Championships in 2003 she won the individual title, as well as in 2007 with the relay.

After she narrowly missed the selection for the 2000 Olympic Games and was only nominated as a replacement, she succeeded in winning the bronze medal at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens behind Zsuzsanna Vörös and Jeļena Rubļevska . While preparing for the 2008 Olympic Games , Harland seriously injured his calf. As a result, she missed the qualification for the games and ended her career at the end of the season. She then took up a job with the British Olympic Association .
