Georgine Koehler

Georgine Köhler (born August 22, 1846 in Soßmar , Peine district , † July 8, 1903 in Hanover ) was a German writer .

Life

Georgine Köhler's father was initially a farmer and later a merchant in Alfeld (Leine) . After finishing school, she looked after the terminally ill landlord on a manor in Westphalia for twenty years and also ran his household. After the death of her employer, she first moved to Bad Oeynhausen to cure herself there. After another three years she moved to Hanover and at the age of 45 began her literary work in the form of stories and poems.
