Georgios Koutroubis ( Greek Γεώργιος Κουτρουμπής , born October 2, 1991 in Athens , Greece ) is a Greek football player .

Career

Georgios Koutroubis began his professional career in 2009 with Kallithea FC, a club from the suburb of the same name in the south of Athens in the third division. Koutroubis was active at Kallithea until 2012 and had a total of 50 assignments during this period. After being promoted to the second division in 2010, he narrowly failed with his club in the 2011/12 season as he was promoted to the first division. After third place in the regular season, the club only finished second in the subsequent play-offs , one point behind. In the summer of 2012, Koutroubis moved to the Super League for the traditional club AEK Athens, which at this time was in great financial difficulties and after the departure of many top performers at the end of the season. Koutroubis was one of the regulars this season and played 29 games. After AEK was unable to settle the outstanding salary claims, Koutroubis gained his freedom in the form of a contract termination and moved to Panathinaikos Athens in 2013 on a free transfer .
