Gerald Brettschuh (born April 8, 1941 in Arnfels ) is an Austrian painter and graphic artist and lives in Arnfels in southern Styria .

Life

Gerald Brettschuh was born in Arnfels, where he attended elementary and secondary school and then the Graz School of Applied Arts . He received his artistic training at the University of Applied Arts Vienna , which he graduated with a diploma in 1968. In the years 1968–1969 he received a scholarship to the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw . From 1970 to 1976 he was a commercial artist, draftsman, illustrator and assistant at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna.

In 1976 he returned to Arnfels and has since worked as a freelance artist, draftsman , painter, sculptor and writer .
