Gerald McBoing! Boing! on Planet Moo is an American animated short film directed by Robert Cannon in 1956.
action
Gerald McBoing-Boing, the boy who can only communicate by sound, is kidnapped by aliens and brought to the planet Moo. Attempts by the government to free Gerald are missing, as the rockets do not have enough fuel to reach the planet Moo. The desperately poor planet Moo is planning a cooperation with the Earthlings to bring tourists to the planet and thus stimulate the economy. Since Gerald only speaks in noises, the king believes that all inhabitants of the earth would speak in this way and also tries his hand at noises ("Boing Boing").
In order to bring Gerald back to earth, the king has to move his crown to pay for gasoline, and a short time later everyone is imprisoned for a short time due to speeding, as the king cannot identify himself without a crown. However, since Gerald does not carry his bread box but the box with the crown with him, the king can legitimize himself to the prison guard a short time later.
The King, his adviser and Gerald arrive on earth, where Gerald is hugged by his parents. Since the king communicates with Boing-Boing sounds, the mayor and other high dignitaries also use this spoken language, bowing and pulling hats. The king leaves and decides to found a school for the "human language" on Moo, so that even today, if you listen carefully, "Boing-Boing" sounds from learning Moo residents can be heard in the distance.
