Gerd Appenzeller

Gerd Appenzeller (* 1943 in Berlin ) is a German journalist . Appenzeller was one of the editors of the Berliner Tagesspiegel .

Life

Appenzeller graduated from high school in a South German boarding school and then studied architecture in Berlin. After an editorial traineeship from 1964 to 1966, Appenzell was a local editor, political editor and head of service at Südkurier Konstanz, then its editor-in-chief (1988-1994).

From 1994 to 1998 he was spokesman for the editor-in-chief of the Tagesspiegel , from 1999 its editorial director.

He is a regular employee of the Deutsche Welle and the television of the SWR, u. a. he was the pilot for the guessing program " I have a big name ".
