Gerd Egger (born October 8, 1943 in Lindau (Bodensee) ) is a German judoka . He has the 9th Dan.

In 1963 he won the European Junior Championships. In 1967 and 1969 he was European team champion. At the 1972 Olympic Games , he reached seventh place. In addition, he took part in three world championships and won several international tournaments.

For his sporting successes he was awarded the Silver Laurel Leaf on June 23, 1967.

As a coach, he led a number of athletes to international successes as home and base coaches.

From 1992 to 2012 he was a sports advisor for the German Judo Federation . For more than 30 years he was a speaker for competitive sports in the Bavarian Judo Association. In 2012 he was elected President of the regional association, which he resigned in 2018.
