Gerd Lauck (born July 5, 1931 - † October 10, 2005 ) was a German football player .

Career

From 1951 to 1962 Lauck belonged to the Saarland- based Borussia from Neunkirchen , for which he played point games in the Oberliga Südwest as a defender.

As a runner-up in the 1958/59 season , he consequently took part in the qualifying game to take part in the final round of the German Championship , which, however, was lost on May 3, 1959 3: 6 against Werder Bremen ; just like the final for the DFB Cup in Kassel on December 27, 1959 with 2: 5 against Schwarz-Weiß Essen , after he had previously played in the semifinals on October 3 in the 2: 1 victory over VfR Mannheim . As early as 1952/53 he was used in the round of 16 in the 2-0 defeat against Hamburger SV on November 19, 1952.

As again runner-up in the 1959/60 season , he again took part in the final round of the German championship . In Group 1 , he played all six games and scored his only goal in the fourth game on June 4, 1960, in a 2-2 draw against Karlsruher SC with the final score in the 81st minute. Again runner-up in the 1960/61 season , he last came on May 6, 1961 in the 5-0 defeat against Eintracht Frankfurt in the qualifying game for participation in the final round of the German championship .

National team

For the Saarland national team , he played five international matches , four of them in Saarbrücken and one in Amsterdam. He made his debut on October 9, 1955 in a 7-5 victory over the B national team of France. He also came on November 16, 1955 in the 1: 2 defeat against the national team of the Netherlands , on May 1, 1956 in the 1-1 draw against the Swiss national team , on June 3, 1956 in the goalless draw against the B national team Portugal and most recently on June 6, 1956 in the 3-2 defeat against the Dutch national team. For the B national team, he played the international match on May 1, 1955, which was won 4-2 against the B selection of the Netherlands in Neunkirchen's Ellenfeldstadion .
