Gerd Willy Mielke

Gerd Willy Mielke (* 1945 in Kemberg ) is a German psycho- pedagogue . He currently lives in Sucre , Bolivia and Hildesheim , Lower Saxony.

Career

Mielke was born while his family was fleeing from Thorn / Toruń in Kemberg, Wittenberg district and grew up in Hildesheim . After graduating from community school in 1960, he trained as an optician . In 1967 he obtained his Abitur at the Köln-Kolleg through the second educational path. After a trip around the world, he began studying psychology , psychotherapy and human biology at the Free University of Berlin (1973: Dipl.-Psych; 1974 recognition as a psychotherapist; 1981 doctorate as Dr. rer. Nat.).

During his studies he worked as a lecturer at the Free University. He later worked as a freelancer for adult education institutions , was a research assistant at the Federal Environment Agency and at the Senator for Urban Development and Environmental Protection in Berlin .

In 1987 he came to Bolivia as a CIM expert and taught ecology, environmental education and educational psychology at the Sucre University of Education from 1987 to 1993 . At the end of 1987 he was offered the management of the Instituto Cultural Boliviano-Alemán (ICBA) in Sucre, which he secured and restored with his own funds by purchasing the building in 1988. He founded the Ecomuseo in Sucre to impart skills in the environmental sector .

In September 2005 he was appointed Honorary Consul of the Federal Republic of Germany in Sucre. He remained in office until November 23, 2012.
