Gerda Thieme

Gerda Thieme (born June 6, 1940 ) is a former German basketball player .

Life

Thieme, who plays at the club level in Berlin for the HSG Wissenschaft and the Berlin TSC , was called up to the national team of the German Democratic Republic a total of 68 times . In 1966 she won the bronze medal at the European Championships in Romania , and came fourth at the 1967 World Championships in Prague . Schaal also took part in the European Championship tournaments in 1964 and 1968. She was honored with the honor Master of Sports .
