Gerhard Brock

Gerhard Johann "Gert" Brock (born April 10, 1922 in Kleve ; † May 3, 2009 ibid) was a German politician and honorary district administrator ( CDU ).

Life and work

After attending elementary school , he completed an apprenticeship as a tailor and passed the master craftsman examination. He then worked in this profession. Brock became a member of the CDU in 1952. He was district chairman of the CDU's local political association. Brock was married and had four children.

MP

From July 26, 1970 to May 30, 1990 Brock was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia . He was directly elected in the constituencies 040 Kleve and 061 Kleve II.

He was a member of the district council of the Kleve district from 1956 to 1984. He was also a member of the city council of Kleve.

Public offices

From 1961 until the regional reform on December 31, 1974 he was district administrator for the Kleve district. Brock was mayor of the city of Kleve from 1984 to 1989. He was represented in numerous committees of the district council of North Rhine-Westphalia.
