Gerhard Busch (born September 7, 1957 ) is a former German football player .

Career

Gerd Busch learned to play football in the youth of PSV Oberhausen and Rot-Weiß Oberhausen . In 1973 he moved to the youth department at Fortuna Düsseldorf , where he matured to become a youth national player and took part in the UEFA youth tournament in 1976 . From the 1976/77 season he was part of the Fortuna Bundesliga squad. He made his debut on September 25, 1976 in the away game against 1. FC Saarbrücken , when he was substituted on by coach Dietrich Weise . Busch remained at Fortuna supplementary player. In his second season he moved to the 2nd Bundesliga for 1. FC Bocholt in November 1977 and stayed until the end of the season. He then played in the 2nd Bundesliga for Karlsruher SC and Rot-Weiß Lüdenscheid .
