Gerhard Diessener
Gerhard This Sener (also Diesener , Disineer , Dießener * to 1640 may in Kassel , † 1684 in London ) (?) Was a German composer.
Live and act
His place of birth Kassel is not considered to be certain, Diessener worked from 1660 to 1673 as a musician in the French chapel of the Landgrave of Hesse-Kassel. He then moved to London, where he worked as a music teacher from 1673 to 1684. He gave private concerts with his students at his home on Great Russel Street.
Diessener created nineteen polyphonic instrumental suites in the French style, the collection was published in 1682 under the title Instrumental Ayrs . He composed music for keyboard instruments and other works and was a typical representative of the baroque with his compositions .
