Gerhard Feck

Gerhard Feck (born before 1925) is a German sports scientist and volleyball trainer .

Life

From 1947 Feck was one of the first students to study physical education, English, French and Russian at the Institute for Physical Education and School Hygiene at the Ernst Moritz Arndt University of Greifswald . In 1949 he passed the state exams. He then worked as a university lecturer at the German University for Physical Culture (DHfK) in Leipzig . For years he was also the editor-in-chief of the magazine “Theory and Practice of Body Culture”. Feck also worked temporarily as a sports science teacher in Egypt and Algeria .

In the early 1950s he brought out textbooks on volleyball and fistball. In 1955, Feck was the coach of the GDR national volleyball team .

In 1976, Feck submitted his dissertation A at the DHfK on the subject of "Development of training programs for three-year training in general training centers with children in the 2nd to 4th school grades, their testing in an experimental training and evaluation under the aspect of competitive sport". With Siegmund Rahn , then with Johannes Hoffmann, he published several editions of the work “To plan and control training” in the 1980s.
