David C. Douglas

David Charles Douglas ( January 5, 1898 - September 12, 1982 ) was a British historian of the Anglo-Norman period.

He has taught at Cambridge University and Oxford University . He came to Oxford University as a Ford lecturer in English history and was the 1940 winner of the James Tait Black Memorial Prize for his work English scholars, 1660-1730 . In 1949 he was elected a member ( Fellow ) of the British Academy .
