Gerhard Filzmoser (born May 25, 1950 in Mattighofen ) is a former Austrian football player .

Career

Filzmoser moved from ATSV Ranshofen to SV Austria Salzburg in 1969 . He made his national league debut in August 1969 when he came on as a substitute for Walter Seitl on the first day of the 1969/70 season against the Wiener Sport-Club at half-time . He scored his first goal in the top Austrian league in September 1969 in a 5-2 win against SC Wacker Vienna . Filzmoser completed a total of 121 games for Austria Salzburg in the National League, in which he scored four goals.

From the 1974/75 season he played with the club in the new Bundesliga . He played his first game in this in August 1974 against SK VÖEST Linz . With the Salzburgers Filzmoser had to relegate in 1977 from the top division. After only one season in the 2nd division , they rose again in 1978 to the 1st division. After the 1978/79 season Filzmoser Austria Salzburg left after ten years in which he had played over 250 league games for the club, and returned to Ranshofen.
