Gerhard Heinrich Kirchhoff

Gerhard Heinrich Kirchhoff (born November 3, 1854 in Bremen ; † December 19, 1929 there ) was a German lawyer and politician .

Life

Born as the son of a veterinarian and Bremen citizen, Kirchhoff studied law in Tübingen and Göttingen after attending the Bremen grammar school . During his studies in 1873 he became a member of the Germania Tübingen fraternity . He was promoted to Dr. iur. doctorate and has been a lawyer and notary in Bremen since 1879 . In 1891 he became a district judge in Bremerhaven and from 1895 was a judge at the Bremen Regional Court , where he became Regional Court Director in 1903 . In 1898 he became a member and vice-president of the Bremen citizenship , and in 1907 a senator of Bremen . In 1919 he retired.

He was married to the women's rights activist Auguste Kirchhoff .
