Gerhard Holland

Gerhard Holland (born October 4, 1928 in Minden ; † June 29, 2011 ) was a German math teacher .

After Gerhard Holland had served as an air force helper in 1944/45, he was able to do his Abitur in 1947 and then study physics, mathematics and philosophy in Göttingen until 1952. In 1965 he was promoted to Dr. phil. PhD .

From 1960 he worked in Göttingen at the Felix-Klein-Gymnasium and at the study seminar. In 1969 he became professor for didactics of mathematics at the Institute for didactics of mathematics at the University of Giessen . He worked u. a. on the knowledge-based geometry system GEOLOG. Since his retirement in 1994 he has dealt with genealogy .
