Gerhard Kaminski

Gerhard Kaminski (born May 7, 1925 in Steinau an der Oder ) is a German psychologist .

Career

From 1947 studied Kaminski psychology in Berlin , first at the Humboldt University , then at the Free University , where he in 1952 his diploma acquired, then worked as a research assistant, 1958 doctorate and in 1968 habilitation .

From 1968 until his retirement in 1990 he was professor in the chair for general and ecological psychology at the University of Tübingen .

In 1975/76, Kaminski headed the study reform commission for psychology in the state of Baden-Württemberg and was a reviewer for the German Research Foundation from 1976 to 1984 .

Work areas

In terms of content, Kaminski mainly works in the fields of sports psychology and architectural psychology . In the empirical procedure and in the formation of theories, Kaminski is committed to the perspective of ecological psychology in the wake of Roger Barlock Barker , Urie Bronfenbrenner's ecosystem approach and Egon Brunswik . The focus of Kaminski's work is on the further development and refinement of this approach, whereby he also integrates considerations of action theory. Kaminski's goal is to establish a psychological ecology analogous to biological ecology.
