Gerhard Krause (editor)
Gerhard Krause (born May 21, 1950 in Neunkirchen , Lower Austria ) is editor of the daily newspaper KURIER .
Gerhard Krause studied commercial science at the Vienna University of Economics and journalism at the University of Vienna . In 1975 Gerhard Krause was hired as a freelancer for the KURIER and a year later he was given a permanent contract as editor. He is responsible for the Vienna Chronicle. Krause was chairman of the works council until December 2009 and is appointed to the supervisory board of the KURIER editorial company until 2014. He is a longstanding member of the Presidium of the Journalists' Union and of the Press Council, which was newly founded in 2009.
He has been married since 1981 and has a son and a daughter.
